The
bed and Breakfast " Ca' del Vescovo", is situated
on the second floor of an old palace in the historical
centre of Porto Maurizio.
Although the 160 sqm apartment has been refurbished
in 2003 its marvellous painted ceiling ( a valuable
painting work by Tommaso Carrega, a local painter) and
marble floorings in Venetian style have been retained.
It is composed by two bedrooms and one suite, and large
dining hall. (every room with en-suite bathroom)
The suite Orchidea is a 35 sqm bedroom it can accommodate
four members of a family since in the room besides a
double bed there is also a sofa-bed which can be converted
into single bed.
The other two rooms have both a double bed each.
On the whole the flat can accommodate nine people.
Since
the flat is situated in the centre of the town it is
an ideal starting point to explore the town on foot
or by public transport.
The historical village of "Parasio", one the
most attractive part of Imperia, can be reached in 5
mns. on the foot. Trough winding uphill narrow lanes
and alley it is possible to reach the highest part of
Porto Maurizio. From there the view over the gulf is
breathtaking and on a clear day, even the Corsican coast
line is visible.
The old villages called "Marine" and "Foce"
can be reached on foot in 7 and 3 mns respectively.
There, it is possible to find parks, villas, bathing
establishment and sporting facilities.
"Borgo Marina" has a tourist harbour and the
" Spiaggia d'oro" is one of the finest beaches
on the Riviera Ligure.
At "Borgo Prino", on the end part of the western
side of Porto Maurizio, various typical restaurants
offer the possibility to taste the local gastronomy
